  • Hand sanitizer is provided throughout the building and in all classes.
  • All classrooms have ventilation and chairs have been spaced to adhere to social distancing regulations.
  • A one way system is in operation for entry/exit and on the stairs.

Before you begin your classes you will need to complete a ‘Return to School’ form.

Infection with the virus that causes COVID-19 can cause illness, ranging from mild to severe, and, in some cases, can be fatal.

It can take anything from 2 to 14 days for symptoms of coronavirus to appear and can be similar to the symptoms of cold and flu.

Common symptoms of COVID-19 include:

  • a fever (high temperature – 38 degrees Celsius or above).
  • a cough – this can be any kind of cough, not just dry.
  • shortness of breath or breathing difficulties.
  • Some people infected with the virus, so called asymptomatic cases, have experienced no symptoms at all.

For the complete list of symptoms, please refer to HSE COVID-19 symptoms

If you have the symptoms above or had a contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, you must contact your GP (doctor), the phone consultation is for FREE and the Covid-19 TEST IS FREE.

If you need help to find a GP, please send an email to info@delfin.ie

After you contact your GP please email info@delfin.ie explaining that you cannot go to the school because of the above reason and we will contact you for more details.

Travelling to Ireland has now resumed subject to some restrictions. Please see full details on:

We strongly encourage everyone to download and use the Irish Government’s COVID Tracker mobile app. It is a free app which you can download here: https://covidtracker.gov.ie/

The goal of the COVID Tracker app is to help to protect each other and to slow the spread of coronavirus in Ireland. The app will:

  • alert you if you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus, advise you on what to do to protect yourself and others.
  • alert other app users that you were in close contact with, if you test positive for coronavirus.

Accommodation

We offer single and twin rooms (for students traveling together). Bedrooms will be thoroughly cleaned and surfaces disinfected between each arrival/departure. It is recommended to maintain a social distancing of 1 – 2 metres from members of the household where possible and wear a face cover outside your bedroom.

Many of the host families are elderly people, for this reason some of them may not accept a student to self-quarantine in their home for 2 weeks, only after this period will they accept new arrivals in their home. In this situation we will help you book a hotel for your quarantine period and organize the transfer to your new accommodation with you.

Anyone arriving from a non-green list county will have to restrict your movements:

  • Your meals will be provided by your host family.
  • City Host will help with your food and groceries delivery.
  • You must stay in the host family and restrict your movements; do not come to school.
  • You must not change accommodation within the first 14 days of arrival
  • You must wear a face cover in common areas of the house.
  • The host family will provide you with separate cutlery (glass, cup, plate, knife, and fork), to reduce the contamination risk.
  • You will eat your meals at a separate time or location. When you take off your face cover to have your meals you need to keep a social distance of at least 2 metres from other members of the household.
  • If an en-suite bedroom is not available, the host family will provide you with your own paper towels, hand soap and sanitizer. They will ask you to wipe down the toilet, shower, sink, switches and door handles after use.
  • Do not visit others, go to house viewings or parties.

We are offering single bedrooms en-suite. Each bedroom and common area will be thoroughly cleaned and surfaces disinfected at each arrival/departure. Each student will be advised to stay in their single room as much as possible and use the common area (living room/Kitchen) for a short period. You must wear a face cover outside your room and keep social distance when you take off your mask to have meals (at least 2 metres).

Arriving from a non-green list county you have to restrict your movements.
